The Diocese of Chelmsford Vine Schools Trust
The ultimate accountability for St Margarets CE Academy lies with the Board of the Trust. Through the scheme of delegation most of the responsibilities are delegated to a Local Hub Board appointed by the Trust.
St Margaret's is working in a close collaboration with Bulphan CE Academy and Orsett CE Primary School. Since the summer term 2017 the local governance for these three academies is delegated by the Vine Trust to the GRACE Hub Board.

Mike Simmonds (Chair)
For over 30 years Mike Simmonds has engaged in education leadership, serving as a school governor across three counties and involved in supporting schools, governors and head teachers. Mike is Chair of the Directors of a Multi-Academy Trust (four schools) and other local Boards.
Mike is governance consultant for the Dioceses of Chelmsford and St Albans and their multi Academy Trusts. He author of Church School Governance published by Grove Books.
Joyce has been a governor in Basildon for many years and served as a chair of governors.
A former headteacher Gill is a SIAMS (Church School) Inspector. She brings a wealth of experience in school improvement to the Board.
Rev David Idyaio
Rev David is the Rector of St. Chad, Vange, and Priest-in-Charge of St. Margaret, Bowers Gifford with North Benfleet. He is committed to supporting schools and regularly delivers Collective Worship.
Laurie has fifteen years of experience as an Modern Foreign Languages teacher and spent 5 years on Orsett C of E Governing Body (2 ½ years as Chair of Governors). As a regular attendee of St Giles & All Saints Church, she understand the importance the role the Church plays in the local community. Laurie has two children in Orsett Primary School.
Charlotte has a child at St Margarets Academy and before having children was an HR Manager with responsibility for 4900 staff working for a chain of shops. She brings expertise in fundraising and finance to the Board.
Lynn has been a teacher for 21 years and currently is the Vice Principal in a secondary school. She has experience of most aspects of school leadership, including strategic planning. Currently Lynn holds overall responsibility for staff appraisal, policies, student behaviour and wellbeing, to name but a few. As a member and treasurer of a PCC Lynn brings an understanding of the local church to the role.
Lorraine works in a corporate Change Management team, as a Project Management Office (PMO) Senior Manager. She has been a member of St Giles and All Saints Church, Orsett for the last twelve years and has also served as a school governor.
