Results and Performance

When Ofsted inspectors visited our school in January 2015, they concluded: 'Pupils' achievement is now good in English and Mathematics.'  They also stated that 'The headteacher has made a positive impact on raising standards since the last inspection'

A summary of the school’s achievements are included below. A detailed analysis of KS2 results can be accessed via the Department for Education Performance Tables.

2017 KS2 Pupil Results

St Margaret’s were very pleased with pupil Results in 2017. This was the second year of raised expectations for pupils at the end of KS2 and St Margaret's were above national figures in all areas.   All areas of the curriculum showed an improvement from last year's results. We are very proud of all our former pupils.

The number of children reaching expected standard in all core subjects were:

  • Reading: 86%
  • Writing: 89%
  • Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling: 89%
  • Maths: 86%
  • Reading, writing and Maths combined: 79%

Average scaled scores in 2017 were as follows:

  • Reading: 105.6
  • Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling: 110.9
  • Maths: 104.9

Progress scores and the number of children working at a higher level of attainment will follow once confirmed.

2017 KS1 Pupil Results

The number of children reaching expected standard in all core subjects were:

  • Reading: 83% with 31% reaching Greater Depth
  • Writing: 83% with 28% reaching Greater Depth
  • Maths: 86% with 31% reaching Greater Depth
