Our School Curriculum
At St Margaret's we encourage our children to have high aspirations and strive for the best. We want all our children to achieve their very best by the time they finish their journey at St Margaret's and move onto the next phase of their lives.
Over the last year we have been developing the curriculum that we provide for our children in order to meet new government expectations. At St Margaret's Primary School, we teach the New National Curriculum (2014), as set out by the Department of Education. In addition, in years 2 and 6, elements of the National Curriculum (2000) are followed in order to prepare children for the end of Key Stage SATs which will continue to reflect the old curriculum until 2016. We aim to provide exciting, stimulating topics which the children can become fully absorbed in.
We use a number of different approaches to explore and deliver the topics to ensure we enable our children to develop all the skills they need to be confident and successful learners.
