PGL is fast approaching. At St Margaret's we have been taking the children on a residential trip to Windmill Hill for many years. Below is a copy of the presentation we will present to parents on the 7th September 2017. It provides you with all the details you will need including what the children should bring and the activities they will be taking part in.
Please look at last year's photo's on our gallery page to see what your children will be enjoying.
Today has already been a busy day! Everyone slept well with no-one waking before 6am. This morning we've been on the Trapeze. Everyone showed great courage by climbing to the top and jumping off to grasp the trapeze bar. Some were more keen than others but everyone did have a good try! Next we had aeroball. This involved jumping on a trampoline and trying to get a soft ball in your opponents basket. The children all had great fun but in group 2 Mrs Smith and her partners were overall champions. We've now had lunch, visited the tuck shop and are taking part in Archery and Rifle shooting this afternoon. The children are all being very well behaved and are having a great time. Tonight's entertainment is Ambush. We'll let you know how it goes tomorrow!
Today has not been as warm as yesterday but we are still having fun! Yesterday we had a great afternoon of target sports - Archery and Rifle Shooting. There were definitely some excellent shots. Ambush in the evening was fun although we did have some very tired children! Today we got very wet when raft building. The water was very cold - or so I'm told! Next, in challenge course both groups showed some excellent team work. After lunch we had the long awaited giant swing. Everybody gave it a try which the staff were very pleased with. All the children continue to show great team spirit and the St Margaret's Christian Values in abundance. Lots of the instructors have commented on the children's amazing behaviour and spirit.
We have enjoyed another day of full activities since yesterday afternoon. This morning started with Team games which included crab football, rounders and a tug of war which got very competitive! We also tried climbing and everyone gave it a good go. Lunch today was a selection of baguettes and wraps and everyone is making full use of the salad bar. The children are currently having a go at Jacobs Ladder and canoeing while I type this and despite getting tireder they are still having a great time. Tonight is the disco and then we have the job of packing everyone up! We will see you all tomorrow with lots of dirty washing!
